Jaffa Harbor, 1925. Haj Amin al-Husseini (see 82), now mufti of Jerusalem and president of the Supreme Muslim Council, the highest governing body for Muslim community affairs, confers with King Faisal I of Iraq, a leader of the Arab Revolt during World War I (see 8, 9, 10, 11, 99, 106). Faisal was traveling by sea to France via Palestine. The Palestinians looked to him for support in their resistance to British pro-Zionist policies.
